The Spike TV 2011 Video Game Awards did give out awards… but let’s be real, the actual attraction of the show was the various exclusive trailers and teasers that were scattered throughout. Those were the real awards, from a viewer’s perspective at least.

Marvel and Activision this morning revealed that a game based on the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man motion picture is set to be released summer 2012 to coincide with the launch of the movie. Exclusive trailer to debut at the Spike TV VGAs.
